The transverse bamboo flute is fingered in the same manner as the regular quena, but its embouchure is similar to the classical orchestra flute's or the bansuri's.

OFFSET FINGER HOLES
The usual design of these instruments requires placing the left hand on the side of the mouthpiece and the right hand on the side of the foot. If you do the opposite, just let us know, so we can make a transverse bamboo flute customized as you need.
